The POWERplus Narwhal is a solar USB charger with 2 x 3.5W = 7W solar cells which can give an effective output of 5W in Sunny conditions. The Narwhal special shape makes it very suitable to attach on a backpack or to attach on a camping tent for charging. The charging PCB integrated in the Narwhal has an auto-restart function which makes an ʽelectronic handshakeʼ with the device every 5 minutes. This prevents the connected mobile phone or device will set the charging current in a very low safe mode when clouds lowers the charging current generated by the solar cell. This makes the Narwhal suitable to use with the latest mobile phones and latest firmware releases. The POWERplus Narwhal is a solar charger equipped with 2 x 3,5W solar cells which can provide an effective output of 5W (1A). The POWERplus Narwhal is equipped with a smart USB PCB chip which restarts the charging process automatically every 5 minutes. This means that when the charging current is affected by clouds or other temporarily shadow conditions, it will only affect the charging process short term, as the PCB will do an automatic restart every 5 minutes.
